The White Rock-rose is quite a rare plant, only growing in a few coastal locations in Somerset and Devon - Brean Down in Somerset being one of its strongholds. The 5-petalled white flowers are about an inch wide, have a yellow centre and can be seen from May until July. The leaves are long and lanceolate with a deep groove along the centre, and are covered with a greyish down.
