The Common Storksbill is a common plant of dune slacks and dry grassy places around the coasts of Wales. The 5-petalled pink flowers can be seen from April to August. Often seen prostrate on grass or dunes, but can reach about a foot in height. Leaves are often covered in sticky hairs to which sand adheres.
