The sea aster is a common plant of salt-marshes and cliffs, and is in flower from June to September. Reaching a height of about 30 inches, the flowers are daisy-like, up to an inch across with white, tinged bluish petals. Leaves are fleshy and lanceolate with a prominent midrib.
