The Dewberry (probably from Dune Berry) is a close relative of the blackberry, and is a common plant of sand dunes. The flowers are about an inch wide, with five white petals and can be seen in early summer. Fruits are similar to blackberry, but smaller and more of a dark blue-grey in colour. A straggly plant, which grows near the ground.
