The Cuckoo pint (alternative names are Lords and Ladies, Wild arum, Devils and Angels) is a common palnt of hedgerows and woodland, flowering in early Spring. The orange / red berries can be seen from mid-summer, and grow on a short spike from 6 to 18 inches in height, which can last into winter. All parts of the plant are poisonous, including the sap which can cause skin irritation.
