Tower Shell

The common Tower is a sea snail found at depths of up to 600 feet, mostly on muddy sediments. The slender, helical shell is up to 2¼ inches long, usually dull purple / pink in colour and with 6 to 25 whorls. Also known as auger shell or screw shell.

Found at Machroes Beach, Llyn Peninsula
