The Black-footed Limpet has a flatter, more-ridged shell than the Common Limpet, and the margin is usually marked with dark brown or black rays - most obvious on the inside. The inside of the shell is also darker. It's usually found on the south-western coast of Wales. The foot of the living animal is dark, hence the name.
