Canford Cliffs is a beach of fine sand backed by a promenade which is lined by plenty of beach huts, behind which are high cliffs. Toilets, drinking water provision, ice cream kiosks, cycle parking and showers are available at regular intervals along the promenade. Free roadside parking is available at the top of the cliffs along Cliff Drive and Esplanade (road), from where public footpaths lead down to the promenade. Swimming is generally safe. Cycling is not allowed on the promenade during July and August (10 am - 6 pm).
