A cove long associated with smuggling activities, Mouthmill is a small rocky cove backed by a few old lime kilns. It lies on north Devon's coast east of Hartland Point and is reached by a walk of about a mile from Brownsham Farm (owned by the National Trust) along a good steadily descending track. A parking area is at the farm and is free for NT members, or Pay-by-phone for non-members. Blackchurch Rock lies to the right (facing the sea) of the cove, and is a rock of mudstone and sandstone with two arches.
