At a height of approximately 1620 feet above sea level, this small lake lies below the old workings of Bwlch Cwm Llan quarry. A footpath up to it branches off the Watkin Path up Snowdon, just a short distance after leaving Bethania. Parking can be found here alongside the A498, but is heavily used by walkers trekking up Snowdon. The pond itself is about 100 yards long and a short tunnel (not closed off) is nearby.
