Llyn yr Adar is a peaty moorland lake lying at about a height of 1870 feet above sea level with a tiny rocky islet at its centre. The nearby lane along the Nantmor valley is very narrow, but has a small parking area at Grid Ref : SH633485 (Lat : 53.01629°N, Lon : 4.03921°W). From here, it's a 400 yard walk north-east along the lane to the footpath on the right opposite a house. Follow this path for about ¾ mile to pass Llyn Llagi, climbing steeply along the side of a small valley until you reach some calcite rocks. Shortly after this, the path crosses a tiny stream and turns 90 degrees right up the opposite side. This is easy to miss. Continue up this steep path and once over the brow, the lake should come into view.
