Overcombe lies at the northern end of Weymouth Bay and has a shore of mostly flint shingle backed by a sea wall and promenade - in places this is level with the shingle at the back of the beach. There are good views across the bay to Portland and it's a popular location for sea swimming. A P&D car park is nearby and roadside parking can usually be found on Bowleaze Coveway (road) which runs from here to nearby Bowleaze Cove. Just behind the beach is the Cafe Oasis, which does excellent breakfasts, and has outdoor seating in the form of picnic tables on the shingle at the top of the beach. Dogs are allowed at all times.
