Bowleaze Cove

Bowleaze Cove lies at the eastern end of Weymouth Bay and has a shore of light shingle and some sand at low tide. A P&D car park is just behind the beach and free roadside parking can be found most of the way along Bowleaze Coveway (road) which runs from Overcombe to Bowleaze. There are plenty of facilities nearby including toilets, take-aways and cafes. Dogs are allowed at all times.

Comment : Lovely little cove with cafe, well stocked gift shop, ice creams and fish and chips shop. The main cafe was really expensive, definitely taking advantage of tourists. Good amount of outdoor seating. The one round the corner was better and had a lovely terraced area where you could sit and look out over the bay. Parking was really good at £1 an hour. There was also a gin bar, again with seating. Definitely worth a visit.

Comment : The beach was exceptionally clean, and there was a wonderful café and gift shop. However, it is important to note that the gift shop and café had limited operating hours, which may be inconvenient for some visitors. Additionally, the car park closed at 7 p.m., which may also be inconvenient for visitors who plan to stay later in the day.
