Preston Sands is Paignton's northern beach, and consists of reddish-brown sand backed by a promenade with P&D parking behind. Further parking is available a short walk away. Toilets ♿ are available and access is down a few easy steps. The beach usually attains the Seaside Award, and it's a popular location for sea-swimming. Dogs are not allowed from 1st May until 30th September. Paignton railway station is about ⅓ mile away.
