Appledore Beach

Appledore has a small beach of coarse sand and rocks bordering the Torridge estuary. The short Jubilee Road leads down to a slipway onto the shore, where the rocks have been levelled a little to provide a reasonable walking surface around to the small sandy area. Due to esturial currents, swimming is not recommended, but some locals swim near the slipway on a high tide. It's not a beach you'd want to spend much time at!
