Llyn Du

Llyn Du (Black Lake) is a small lake just north of Rhinog Fawr, draining at its eastern side. The southern side is mostly rock faces and the northern side is loose rocks. To reach it, go to the highest point of the Bwlch Tyddiad pass and continue east to find a rough path skirting around to the south. This leads up to the lake. Parking (honesty box) can be found on the west side of the pass at Cwm Bychan farm (Grid Ref : SH646314), reached via a very narrow and winding road from Llanbedr. Free parking on east side can be found in the forest at Grid Ref : SH684301 - reached via a narrow gated road from the A470.
