Llyn Irddyn

Llyn Irddyn is a moorland lake about 500 yards long, lying about 2½ miles east of Dyffryn Ardudwy. The ground on the west side is very uneven - difficult to walk on and impossible to camp on! Directions : Take the lane (Ffordd Gors) from the village of Tal-y-bont and continue to the very end (Grid Ref : SH602230), where a small parking area (Honesty Box - £1.50 in 2024) can be seen on the right. Take the tarmaced bridlepath on the right and follow it heading east. Just over a mile after the stone bridge crossing of the Afon Ysgethin, the bridlepath crosses another susbstantial stream coming from Llyn Irddyn. A little further on, a very rough path turns off to the right and leads to the lake.
