Mudeford Sandbank is the the most easterly of Dorset's beaches, lying on a narrow strip of land between the sea and Christchurch Harbour. It has a shore of white sand interspersed with stone groynes and backed by beach huts. Local facilities include toilets, drinking water, showers and the Beach House cafe. There is no road acess, but a cyclepath runs from the Visitor Centre at Hengistbury Head, and a land train operates along it from April until October.
