Arish Mell is a small cove about 330 yards wide situated within the MoD's Lulworth range. From the bottom of the valley, a gate leads onto the shore, but a sign prohibits public access due to the danger of unexploded shells. The shore is mostly chalk rocks and flint shingle with some small areas of coarse sand.
