Redgate Beach is a beach of light shingle, backed by unstable cliffs, and is officially closed to the public because of the danger of rock falls. However, if you're not too bothered about this, access is just a short walk / wade around from the seating area for neighbouring Anstey's Cove. The barrier is easily climbed, and it's only about 25 yards over rocks and the remains of a concrete walkway. On anything other than a low tide, this will require some wading.
