Moreton Beach is on the Wirral's northern coast, and is a long and wide sandy beach, backed by a a concrete sea wall and cycle path. A free car park is located behind the beach and there is usually an ice-cream van around in summer. Lifeguards patrol daily from the end of May until the end of August (10am to 6pm) and dogs are allowed at all times.
One of the main hazards of this beach are the sandbanks, which quickly cut off on an incoming tide. Moreton rail station is approximately ⅔ mile away.
