Welcombe Mouth is one of the better beaches in this part of north Devon. It's mostly sandy and backed by mudstone pebbles, becoming rocky to either side, and at most stages of the tide it's a short walk along to the adjoining Marsland Mouth beach. There is a free car parking area just above the beach, reached by a very rough track. Final beach access is down a steep rock and concrete path with steps and plenty of rock samphire bordering both sides. Dogs are allowed at all times.
