Llyn Geirionydd is a popular lake north west of Betwys-y-Coed. A small, free parking area with toilets is located on the east shore at Grid Ref : SH764605. The narrow lane runs along the eastern shore, and a footpath follows the western side. It's popular for watersports, especially paddle-boarding and swimming. Water-skiing is permitted for club members only. The lake is about a mile long and estimated to be about 40 feet deep in the centre and drains into the Afon Crafnant. The lake has little marine life, probably due to the proximity of the former Pandora lead and zinc mine.
