Pinhay Bay

Lying about a mile west of Lyme Regis, Pinhay Bay is a little known beach of rocks and course sand, backed by the landslide prone Undercliff. A small waterfall cascades onto the shore, and even on the busiest summer's day, you're likely to have this bay to yourself. Access is by walking along the rocky shore from Lyme Regis - check tide times before setting out.

The image shows the view looking west, with the White Lias rocks at the base of the cliffs, overlied by Blue Lias.
