The beach at Seatown is reached along Duck Lane from the village of Chideock on the A35. A small attended / honesty box car park overlooks the shore, and facilities include toilets and a pub (The Anchor Inn). The shore is mostly small shingle and the river Winniford enters the sea here. West of the beach is Golden Cap - the highest point on England's south coast at 627 feet.
There can be strong cross-currents on this beach, so take care if swimming. Dogs are not allowed from 1st May until 30th September.
