White Pebble Beach lies just west of Ilfracombe town. It's a beach of grey slate rocks and gravelly sand with some white quartz pebbles and small caves. High cliffs of Ilfracombe slates back the shore. Roadside parking can be found on Upper Torrs, which leads to the small (free) National Trust Torrs Walk car park. From here, continue along a path eastwards, turning left onto the Torrs Walk footpath. As Tunnels Beach disappears from view and before the zig-zag section of this path, look for a steep, salebrous path down to the next cove. This leads to some uneven steep steps on the east side of the bay, with an unguarded drop of about 20 feet to one side. Dogs are allowed at all times.
