Gronant Beach

At Gronant, Shore Road leads off the A548 towards Presthaven Holiday Park. A small free car park (2.1 metre height restriction) is located on this road approximately half-way along. At the end of the road, a public footpath continues across Gronant dunes - total distance from the car park is about a mile.

The beach itself is a vast area of wet sand, backed by a band of dryer sand and dunes to the east, saltmarsh to the west. The beach has very little gradient, and the tide can retreat over a mile at low water. Needless to say, it comes in quickly on the flow.

Dogs are allowed at all times. Local facilities along Shore Road include a cafe, a pub and a convenience store.
